Another part of Italy visited. It’s one of my favorite country that always has something new and unusual to offer. Milan welcomed us with cold and rainy weather, but fortunately sun cames the next day. We started our tour with a walk around the city center towards to the Cathedral Square, where is located one of the most famous building in the world. Milan Cathedral is undoubtedly a building that every tourist coming to the city must to see. It is considered one of the largest church in the world, it’s length 157 meters and width 93 meters. Next we visited the famous Victor Emmanuel Gallery, which was open in 1877. It is the oldest and still open shopping center in Italy. The gallery is named after the first King of the Kingdom of Italy. Richly decorated interiors, sculptures, marble, frescoes on the walls and a glass roof are breathtaking. There are four floors full of extraordinary splendor and wealth. This is place where the famous creators of fashion have their headquarters. That is why Milan is considered the fashion capital of the world.
The next day we took train to Como. It’s a charming town on the lake of the same name. It was very warm that day, so we felt the holiday atmosphere. First we went on a tour of the old town towards the Cathedral, admiring traditional Italian architecture. The area around Como Lake is one of the most picturesque place in Italy. The entire surface of the lake is shaped like an inverted letter Y. It is a great place to escape the bustle of the city where you can admire the beauty of nature in silence. On the last day we visited the brick Sforzesco Castle, located in the center of Milan. The castle is located in the Sempione Park with an impressive triumphal arch.
